It has been a long time since I last posted on here.Other than it being hotter than heck,there's not much going on around here.I'm looking for some new pro-staffers so if you're interested please send me an e-mail ( I posted all of the details on my call site).There has been a lot that has went on since my last blog post.The biggest thing was thinking I had friends around here only to get thrown under the bus.I won't mention the hunting forum or peoples names,but when they were starting out my so called friend came to me and wanted me to be a sponser on their new site.I thought it was a good deal for both of us.So I posted links to their site on a few of my other sites for free.Then last year one of their guys were hitting me up for several free calls to keep being listed on their site,after I already gave a few of the guys several free calls or way discounted calls.I ended up sending a some calls out to keep my place.Shortly after my link disappeard from their sponser page.It was just listed on the forum section.The a few weeks ago I seen everything was gone,even my thread section.It really hurt to see that,not even a message or nothing to tell me it was going to happen.What a man!.I thought these guys were my friends,I even invited them down to hunt with me.The straw that broke the camels back was a couple weeks ago when one of the owners asked me to be a pro-staffer with them.After all I been around that site since day one and have been waiting for that chance for a couple years now.They made their big annoucment a few days ago and brought in new guys,nothing against them at all.I just feels like another dagger in my back.Sorry for the rant but I feel better now.I wasn't about to go off on their place.If I can give one peice of advice,choose your friends wisely!

I had a interview today @ IU...I think it went well,hope to hear back from them in a few days...I am so ready to start working again...Other than that, I'm getting pumped up for bow season...

Made a new grunt call.I added some texturing to help give it a better grip.I think it will work great in wet conditions or with gloves.

I couldn't take it anymore,I just had to go check my Cuddieback.I had this nice guy on there.Not bad for the first night out.I know there is a couple studs roaming around out there and my bro in law tells me there seems to be more bucks than does this year.Come on bow season!

New Call Made!

I finally was able to build the first deer call of '09 lastnight.I played around with a new look.The new one has texturing on the barrel.I felt like it would improve the grip or hold factor during bad weather(rain/snow etc).I really like the feel of it,looks pretty good also.I can't forget it sounds pretty darn good too.I'll have to get a couple out there for some field testing...I'll post some pics of it later tonight once I get all of my mowing and yard work done.

I've been working on getting a forum up for my call site.Hopefully there will be some interest in it,I know there are 100's of them out there.I'll be posting my calls on there and may have a few videos on call making.I want other call makers on here as well,feel free to post your calls also...It's still a work in progress,so it may be changing often.Keep cool!

GOT THE CUDDIEBACK OUT

I decided it was now or never and made myself get out in this awful,humid heat.I made my way over to my local feed store (Standish Farm Supply)and picked up 3 of my favorite deer blocks.Then it was off to a small hardware store to stock up on some new batteries.When I arrived at the farm I seen 8 deer before getting out of my truck.I grab everything I needed and went to my favorite mineral block site.After getting everything in position and some testing I finally screwed the cam down to the tree and got out of there.When I got back to my truck I was covered in ticks!I think this has to be the worst year for them.I wasn't in the woods no more than 10 minutes and had close to 100 ticks on me.There's probably still a few more hiding somewhere on me.Hopefully it will all be worth it with some nice trail cam pics.Hopefully I'll have some to post in a few days.Stay tuned.
